We are excited to announce the consideration of two new candidates for Elder.  Here are the new candidates and their wives:

The Candidates

Chris and Nicolette Blount

Chris and Nicolette are originally from Southern California. They both initially heard about the gospel being raised in Christian homes, but their faith has grown exponentially through the ups and downs of life. They knew each other as children, but met back up again in college. They will be married 20 years in June. They have 2 children, Gwyneth and Logan. They have lived in Amherst 3 1/2 years. Chris is an oral surgeon, and Nicolette is a Fine Arts student and small business owner. They have attended Mercy House for about 3 years. They are both very cold at the moment, and are looking forward to summer.

Steve and Lauralee Harrington

Steve is from South Hadley, MA and Lauralee is from Visalia, CA.  Steve first heard of the gospel from his mother at a young age.  Lauralee was exposed to church but heard a clear presentation of the gospel at a Billy Graham crusade at age 13.  They met as college students at a basketball game at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, OK in 1980 and have now been married for 32 years.  They have three children (Carilyn Sorrentino who attends MH with her husband Tim and 2 sons), Katherine (who has attended MH and is now off to college), and Peter who is in the Coast Guard.  They currently reside in Belchertown and have done so for the last 31 years.  Steve is a CPA and is a partner in an accounting firm in Northampton.  Lauralee has been a stay at home mom, artist, and Young Life Volunteer.  They have attended MH since 2012.
